The Loon
“The Loon" is a lullaby book inspired by the song of the same name by Richmond-based band Holy River. Laney and Jameson reached out to me in 2023 to ask me to collaborate on this book project, for which I made original papercut illustrations and watercolors based on a book idea by Laney. In 2025, I crafted a 5-minute double overhead projector and crankie shadow puppet performance, for a series of shows with Holy River that celebrated the book’s release.
